Worked with CEO on organizational processes and academic initiatives. Spearhead strategy and execution of new programs. • Major Contributions: Assisted the CEO as a primary thought partner in developing organizational strategy and served as project manager of the implementation of union agreements. Served as the designee of the CEO on key district initiatives including union negotiations of contracts and evaluation.

    Create and manage work plans associated with contract implementation, as well as quickly identifying and resolving issues. • Leadership: Partnered with school district officials and union leadership to develop strategy and policy for labor/management contract implementation. Strategically executed $10 million in grant funds to implement the contract.• Accomplishments: Served as advisor to other major urban districts on implementing similar labor/management negotiations and agreements, as well as being the primary source of information for a Harvard Business School case study and an EDWeek article on the subject of union negotiation in public education.

Execute efforts across district in academic and organizational programs. • Accomplishments: Supported the Executive Director in concept and content preparation as well as negotiations that led to a “Landmark Teacher Contract” with Baltimore Teachers Union. Wrote and managed grants, most notably for $7 million of Race to the Top funds for formative literacy assessments.
