    As the Country Programmes Director who is a member of the JDF South Sudan Senior Management Team (SMT) with overall responsibility for the strategic development of JDF’s programmes. Develop a clear vision, objectives and strategic direction for JDF’s programme in line with JDF global strategic choices, international standards, the Government of South Sudan’s policies and guidelines and the strategies of key donors. Oversee donor and internal narrative reporting, ensuring that all reports meet standards. Oversee the development of donor proposals - log frames, narratives and budgets - based on the Country. Currently operational in two underserved Counties in South Sudan focusing on programme planning and development, reporting, M&E and capacity building, as well as coordination internally and with relevant line ministries, UN agencies, NGOs, partners and other relevant stakeholders. Develop, renew and monitor Memorandums of Understanding with line ministries at Juba, state and county levels and, as required, with other entities such as partners and NGOs.Technical Support Develop a clear vision, objectives and strategic direction for JDF’s programme in line with JDF global strategic choices, international standards, the Government of South Sudan’s policies and guidelines and the strategies of key donors. Oversee the implementation of integrated Health, WASH, FSL and Nutrition programme in all the operation sites across South Sudan. Oversee donor and internal narrative reporting, ensuring that all reports meet standards. Oversee the development of donor proposals - log frames, narratives and budgets - based on the Country Lead the progressive decentralization of programme management to field level, empowering the field programme managers to play a lead role in planning, budgeting and monitoring. Ensure JDF is appropriately represented in external coordination mechanisms like SGBV and child protection .

    Under the direct supervision of the Programme coordinator based in London office through the Country Technical Coordinator based in Juba South Sudan, I was responsible for the management, implementation leadership, direction and coordination of integrated community case management programme in South Sudan, I also provided oversight and guidance in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Research programmes in the project areas in South Sudan. Provided overall responsibility for the planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of Pneumonia diagnostics Research programme activities in the project area, including overseeing all aspects (programmatic, financial, administrative, personnel), with high quality and measurable impact; I provided timely and adequate documentation, both financial and narrative reports and proposals to headquarters, donors and government authorities; I ensured that the programmes are within the approved budget line by controlling and monitoring finances of the projects, in cooperation with the Finance Officer. I followed all the study protocol and procedures in accordance with international standards by engaging the Institutes Research Bureau (IRB) of Republic of South Sudan Ministry of Health. I provided high quality technical support to the South Sudan component of the multi-country programme, including the coordination of procedures, SOP, protocol and tool development for both qualitative and quantitative evaluations. I promoted trustful relations with officials of County Health departments (CHDs), the State Ministry of Health (SMOH) and National Ministry of Health (MOH) while representing Malaria Consortium at all bilateral and Coordination meetings. I represented Malaria consortium towards government authorities, UN, NGOs, donors, CBOs and local authorities concerning the development and implementation of the programme;

    Organize and conduct with CHD joint routine supervision and monitoring of CCM supported health facilities in the area of intervention;In collaboration with the CHD, support the implementation of all primary health care activities conducted at facility and outreach level,Assist in the management of the emergency referral system in the project catchment area; In collaboration with CHD, Assist health facility staff in the proper collection and registration of relevant health data and patients’ and drugs reports keeping, Link with the concerned County Health Department for: (i) the supportive monitoring of health facilities, (ii) the registration of health data and related reporting at State level (DHIS), (iii) the promotion of community involvement/participation, (iv) the management of local health human resources; In collaboration with CHD, organize and implement trainings and refreshment trainings for the local health staff, based on identified training needs and according to GoSS trainings guidelines; Train and supervise Home Health Promoters (HHPs) to improve epidemiological surveillance in the project catchment areas; In collaboration with CHD, organize and promote raising awareness and sensitization campaigns on health prevention and access/utilization of primary health services; In collaboration with local authorities, build the capacities of Village Health Committees (VHCs) to improve community involvement on health related issues; Link with Warrap State MoH for a timely follow up on the provision of vaccines, drugs and other medical supplies procured by the federal MoH; If required, participate in the conduction of need-assessments and/or surveys in the project catchment area and assist the PM in the development of new project proposals, Periodically report to the PM on the activities carried out and collaborate with the PM for the organization of the monthly and quarterly activities plan.

    Coordinating the implementation of Nine million Euros project in three countriesTo identify and build strategic partnerships in planning and implementation of Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)/Maternal Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) programs and policies and provide overall management of the project while networking capacity building and offering technical support to multiple program activities in three countries.Monitor the project implementation by performing regular visits to the areas of operation and ensuring that WASH/MNCH items(HBC/ICCM drugs Kit,soap,sanitation kits and F/P/delivery drug kits including EMoC Kits) are effectively distributed to the beneficiaries(Facility health workers,VHTs and patients/clients). Follow up the schedule with contractors and prepare completion certificates for Health units and WASH facilities construction.     Successfully implemented Six million Euros school Health and WASH Projects in northern Uganda funded by AMREF Canada, European Union and AMREF Italy with 90% achievement in access to WASH infrastructures both in targeted 50 primary schools with 11000 male and 9600 female pupils that includes 180,000 community members within targeted parishes in 25 sub counties

  • Project Officer Home Based Management of Childhood illnesses funded by UNICEF

    Successfully implemented One million Dollars by training 557 Village health team (VHTs) members on management of common childhood illnesses in 8 sub counties of Pader District in Northern Uganda who were fully equipped with drugs for treating common childhood illnesses like Malaria, Diarrhea and pneumonia. Trained VHTs successfully treated 112998 patients of which 88% were children under 5 years of age and 12% were children over 5 years of age. Out of 112998 patients treated, 90% were treated within 24 hours of onset of illness which was above 80% of the expected results.

    1. Managed and built capacities of 220 health workers and 120 non clinical staffs on various emergency and disaster preparedness and responses including new treatment guidelines for MSF.2. Assigned clinical responsibilities to design and manage to establish 50 clinic sites with all the assorted infrastructures that include staffing.3. Established and managed 10 TB/HIV/AIDS and Malnutrition Clinics with enrollment of 1000 positive clients within 12 month who were following their medication promptly and 500 TB cases completed their TB regimen successfully with no relapses.4. Managing adequate supply of medical and non-medical supplies in 50 clinic sites including weekly stock updates.
