    "Andre Metstrepie" is a black comedy short film from Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), selected as one of three graduation year film pitches to qualify for Mnet EDiT. This nationwide university initiative involves broadcasters providing production funding to offer film students invaluable "industry experience" through collaboration. Additionally, it participates in a nationwide competition alongside other commissioned films. Despite stiff competition from various film schools across the country, "Andre Metstrepie" clinched the 2007 Mnet EDiT awards for Best Actor, Best Script, Best Director, and ultimately, Best Film.

    "Spaarwiel" is a student film produced at Tshwane University of Technology, commissioned by Mnet (Multichoice Studios). It was selected as one of the five winning student pitches presented to a Multichoice panel, which included Jan du Plessis, Bongani Selani, and Leon van Nierop representing TUT. The primary goal of this initiative was to offer film students invaluable "industry experience" through collaboration with established broadcasters. "Spaarwiel" served as my debut into the world of televised short films and garnered recognition by winning student awards for Best Script, Best Director, and Best Cinematography. In addition to these achievements, my co-producer Suné Combrink and I successfully augmented the film's budget by securing partnerships with prominent brands such as Subaru and Kreepy Krauly. Kreepy Krauly generously sponsored 28 Bullshark Pool cleaners, which we sold to our network of friends and family to bolster our production funds. Furthermore, Subaru provided sponsorship for a professionally branded rally car and driver, in exchange for prominent product placement - an invaluable contribution equivalent to our entire film budget.
