Monica L. Marchese, Principal, of Marchese Consulting LLC brings 25 yrs of HR experience to her consulting practice that she began in 2002. During her 17 years at Shawmut Bank, she held several key Human Resources roles, including Human Resources director for a bank division of 6000 employees. She then became the Diector of HR for Bank of Boston Connecticut where she oversaw the entire HR function for the Connecticut affiliate for two years. Her last role in Corporate America was as a Senior HR executive for Aetna Financial Services/ING Group. In her six year tenure, she was a HR Director for Aetna’s pension business, a HR Team Leader for one of the divisions at Aetna Financial Services Division and lastly, Director of Staffing and College Relations for Aetna Financial Services. Her areas of expertise include Staffing, Talent Management, Performance Management, Organizational Development, Compensation and other Human Resources generalist functions. Monica is a graduate of Boston University. In her successful consulting practice, Monica’s areas of expertise have focused on Executive Search, Talent Management, Outsourced Human Resources and Executive Coaching. Marchese Consulting LLC was established in October 2002. and was recognized in May of 2006 as one of the Hartford Regions fastest growing privately held cos with a growth of over 115% year over year. Her clients include The MetroHartford Alliance, Hartford Steam Boiler, Simsbury Bank, ING, Webster Bank, the City of Hartford, Planned Parenthood of Connecticut, and Fallon Community Health Plans and Hoffman Auto Group. In 2007, Monica was named VP of the Board of the newly formed Western New England Chapter of the Human Resource Leadership Forum. For the last ten years, Monica has served on the Planning Committee of the Hartford Region’s Women Against MS luncheon for the MS Society of Greater Hartford. Annual recruitment results brought on class of 20-40 interns and 10-15 program participants from top Northeast schools.• Prepared and participated in Talent Management review at Aetna Chairman level reviewing Top Talent and High potentials. Partnered on development planning for key senior leaders within AFS organization.• With ING separation from Aetna Inc., selected and implemented new recruitment database achieving 2001 Cost per Hire of $1200. (BrassRing/Hiresystems). • Developed ING 2001 “in house” temporary pool resulting in annualized cost savings of $750,000.
