    The Commercial Law Internship Experience UK was facilitated by the reputed international law firms such as Herbert Smith Freehills, Allen & Overy, and Slaughter & May. During the course of three days, I acted as a Trainee Solicitor and worked on various assignments which were based on the real-life disputes and transactions taking place at these reputed firms. I researched and drafted briefs for three primary issues pertaining to an M&A deal; Commercial Agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements; and dispute resolution mechanism for commercial disputes. I formulated an acquisition strategy for a client based on the expansion plan by acquiring another company. I researched and incorporated the correct terminologies to explain the nuances and key components of the transaction. Further, I drafted an outline of due diligence to be conducted before entering into the deal and highlighted the importance and relevance of each due diligence factor listed therein with the client company and the target company. I also vetted commercial agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements sent by the target company to the client and produced a succinct table outlining all the discrepancies and the clauses of potential disputes or irregularities between the parties. Furthermore, I prepared a comparative table analyzing different dispute resolutions mechanisms including, Arbitration, Mediation and Litigation in Courts. I provided the client with the most suitable, cost-effective and speedy dispute resolution mechanism.
