    We created Chairs Coffee, a small coffee house, to give the greater community a new hangout with the tagline "Your place to sit and socialize." Starting with a passion to connect the community, Chairs grew from a small unknown coffee house to a new community hub for Spokane. We attracted many groups and community leaders such as many non-profits, political committees, board game and knitting groups, bands, the mayor, city council, state representatives, and even the governor.Chairs Coffee was started from scratch. I helped put together most of the concept, logo design, drink menus, training material, leases/contracts, etc. My responsibilities included a little bit of everything. From being a barista, cooking, amazing guest service, and even dishwashing to marking (mainly with social media), HR, accounting, training, and attending community events. Like we did at Chairs Public House, we used technology as much as possible to make the company run more efficiently. One of the things we were most proud of was being the first coffee house in Spokane to use Square (square.com) to accept credit cards, and was given 300 card readers from Square to distribute to our guests. We also had a text message punch card and marketing system that had over 2000 followers who received a weekl
