    Currently posted on Diamer Basha Dam Project. Responsibilities include conducting statistical analysis /evaluations of scanline & borehole discontinuity data, and lugeon test result values, and their subsequent use in rock mass classification, assessment of rock mass/discontinuity strength, and deformability parameters. In addition, it includes planning of Geotechnical Investigations, planning of Grouting along various components of the dam, preparation of Construction Drawings, writing up the Reports and Technical Memorandums, reviewing the Contractor’s submission and methodologies for Site Investigations, monitoring of site investigations data and maintaining the record of the section. Furthermore, it includes contractual correspondence with the Contractor and updating of PC-1 related to Geotechnical investigation works.

    Responsibilities include Geological Mapping of the project area and identification of the source for construction material, supervision of the geotechnical investigation (Test pits), and preparation of test pit logs. Moreover, it includes the preparation of cross-sections for dam and appurtenant structures and the preparation of logs of previous geotechnical investigations.Identification of different rock units and structures with emphasis on the spillway area i.e., left and right slopes of the approach channel and spillway main channel. Scanline surveys were carried out on both the slopes of the approach channel and along the spillway alignment. Further investigation includes the kinematic susceptibility of cut slopes which was assessed by Dips software. Furthermore, limit equilibrium analysis of rock slopes including plane failure analysis using RocPlane software, wedge analysis using Swedge software, and Global stability analysis using Slide software were conducted.
