    Senior Development Leader within Rio Tinto’s Mine of the Future™ programme.Focused on the research, development and deployment of technology to facilitate the strategic long term goal of whole of mine automation, whilst identifying, developing and productionising systems, that provide tangible near term productivity improvements.Led the innovation of a cross platform 3D visualisation application, and associated backend infrastructure. The system is designed to capture, serve, visualise and interact with a near realtime spatial model of the mining operation. (C++, python, cmake, ZeroMQ, Unigine).Facilitated bringing research technologies and interface standards towards commercial reality in the areas of multi-autonomous vehicle command and control, data fusion based geology and geometry modelling.Built and fostered relationships within the business to discover and exploit opportunities uncovered by the product. Facilitated scrum team, SMEs, OEMs, external research partners and business analysts to develop and deliver production ready, supportable solutions.Supported proof of concept product trials, documentation, training and change management by fostering interdisciplinary communication and innovation, which has led to the product being embedded in the workflows of geology, drill & blast, planning, survey and maintenance departments at seven mine-sites, in four commodities within Australia and internationally.Introduced and embedded systems for effective development including Requirements Definition, Traceability and Testing (Jama Contour), Knowledge Capture (Confluence), Issue Management (JIRA), Configuration Control (git), Continuous Integration (buildbot,cmake), Code Review (Code Collaborator), Automated Deployment (puppet).
