    Founded in 1990, the Preservation Action Council of San Jose is a dynamic nonprofit 501(c)(3) membership organization dedicated to preserving our unique and diverse architectural and cultural heritage. Through advocacy, education, and civic engagement, we promote historic preservation as an essential tool for fostering equitable, distinctive, sustainable, and prosperous communities.We are citizen advocates for San Jose’s historic landmarks and neighborhoods. We collaborate with residents, property owners, government agencies, elected officials, and other stakeholders to protect and revitalize the places that make San Jose special.We celebrate San Jose’s diverse architectural and cultural heritage through a robust program of walking tours, lectures, workshops and guidebooks designed for residents and visitors alike. We promote the environmental and economic benefits of preservation as a tool for sustainable, equitable development.We provide resources and a voice for citizens to protect the places important to their communities and assist them in engaging elected officials and impacting the City’s development review process.​

    StreamLine Communications Corporation designs, installs, and operates network & communication systems and services at event facilities that host conferences, trade shows meetings and performances. As the resident provider of high speed Internet and related network and communications services for 15+ years at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center (SJCC), The SJCC South Hall, the Civic Auditorium, the Center for the Performing Arts (CPA), Parkside Hall, and the Montgomery and California Theaters,these facilities host events ranging from traditional trade shows and expos, to conferences, meetings, and a broad spectrum of performing arts events.StreamLine developed and refined the first user focused application specific network services business model and technology offering for events and conferences, including wired and wireless networks offerings of un-throttled,unlimited bandwidth,with fully managed dedicated switch port connections, and publicly route'able IP addressing. I envisioned and coordinated major original design and renovation projects for the installation of network and communications infrastructure including structured cabling systems for Internet, Telecom and PCS/Cellular/LTE services within 5 Star hotels, major convention & conference centers, auditoriums, theaters, and metropolitan area microwave and fiber optic network backbone systems for 10Gb/s backbone connections in coordination with building operators, city departments, carriers, architects, construction companies & major corporate backers.I worked with technology leaders to facilitate major technology demonstration firsts such asthe first attendee WiFi network at Apple’s WWDC and multiple iPod, iPhone, iTunes,product launches, Google’s Liquid Galaxy at Intel’s World Wide Science Event, GuinnessWorld Record for Simultaneous & Contiguous Gaming at NVIDIA’s 2008 nVision™ event,United Business Media (UBM) Game Developer Conference Microsoft Xbox launch, etc.

    As National Semiconductor Corporation’s Marketing Director, I served in various capacitiesincluding the development of strategic technology partnerships and Volume PurchaseAgreements (VPA) with industry leaders, Apple (1st Ethernet LAN on Motherboard), IBM(LAN Technology and Packaging Partnership), Ford Motor & Chrysler (1st Fault TolerantEngine Control Driver & Advanced AM/FM Radio PLL), while generating division grossmargins in excess of 60 percent. Lead numerous product rollouts, presenting anddemonstrating our products and services in person and at world-wide forums to industryluminaries, the media and customers. Designed and executed promotional and advertisingcampaigns. Extensive life cycle product management responsibilities from definition endof-life.Established market driven pricing strategies for new and mature products andservices designed to compete with existing market alternatives plus one of a kind, solesource items. Recruited, hired and trained handpicked technical marketing staff out ofuniversity graduate programs, and via other sources. Actively managed and providedperformance reviews against objectives for a diverse staff of up to 15 direct reports.Worked with National’s corporate legal counsel and Semiconductor Industry Association(SIA) on major Patent and Trade issues. I was honored to present and demonstrate theindustry’s first integrated real-time interactive voice, video, data system to President WilliamJ.
