    Managing the editorial production of nine regional Meetings + Events titles for Tiger Oak Media, from story conceptualization to final proofing. Working with in-office and remote editors on the various titles; collaborating with the art department on strategies and copy. Reporting and writing stories while being responsible for editing all stories that appear in the magazines. Helping to carryout photoshoots and video work for events. As the public face of the magazine group I work with stakeholders to promote the Meetings + Events brand.

    Editing and overseeing the publication of three weekly newspapers. Managing a newsroom of four editors and reporters. Researching, reporting and writing stories every week, making decisions for all three titles about what goes in and what stays out. Editing and proofreading colleagues' stories and also proofing my own newspaper each week. Working with the public to take submissions to the paper and also answering sometimes pointed questions about editorial decisions. Working closely with the ad department to edit and prepare various types of ad copy for publication. While reporting, talking about many issues with sources, and using acquired knowledge to give context to stories. Shooting photos for stories. Laying out my newspaper each week, using design principles to best convey information. Planning coverage of events like elections. Working with reporters to improve their writing and overall work.
