Present reports on these accounts to management and the executives. My role was to assist the team with the preparation of these reports. Running consolidations on the system. Analysing Excel reports. Creating softcopies for permanent records. Refreshing monthly reporting models. Proofing and filing presentations. Skills and Experience Acquired IT SkillsMy IT skills improved immensely during my time on placement. I was working with Microsoft Office applications every day such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word. This allowed me to become far more comfortable using these applications. I have also learned how to use new software systems such as Hyperion, Lotus Notes and SAP. Teamwork and Communication SkillsFrom working in Management Reporting I gained excellent teamwork skills as we were constantly working together and assisting each other. I have also improved my communication skills as I was in contact with different departments throughout my placement such as Tax and Treasury.Internship Project:During my placement I completed an internship project. My project was to alter the corporate cost models so as to improve the speed and efficiency at which the accounts were consolidated each month. Over the course of 6 weeks I altered the models and collaborated with the management reporting team and the tax department to gain approval for these changes. Once completed we ran the models on their monthly date. Previously the models would contain several errors that would need to be resolved. No errors showed up in the models and they were consolidated immediately, meaning the objectives of my project had been met. I then gave a 15 minute presentation on my project to all the other placement students and the Kerry graduate recruitment team at a presentation day in Dublin.
