I have represented disabled folks in Social Security disability proceedings for 38 years and for 35 years I have worked as Editor-in -Chief of the 5 volume book on Social Security practice entitled The Social Security Practice Guide published by Lexis/Nexis. My work involves representation of folks who have worked hard to support themselves and their families and who , because of chronic illness or injury, can no longer work and seek disability benefits as a means of survival. I have derived immense satisfaction in my work with these good folks who face many personal hardships that come with the trauma of major life changing events. 29
