Students learn the material using an eight-stage model of the development process, and the material covers idea conception, feasibility, planning, financing, market analysis, contract negotiation, construction, and asset management. Other topics discussed include but are not limited to market analysis, site acquisition, due diligence, zoning, entitlements, approvals, site planning, building design, construction, financing, leasing, and ongoing management and disposition. The course also includes real estate projects, case studies, and guest lecturers.
