Basement kitchen (re)renovation for my stepdaughter, whose (retrospectively Building Regs approved) kitchen was beset by flooding. Doesn't sound much but on this project her Mum and and I took on (and defeated) the biggest names in UK basement waterproofing - who all cried off, claiming we could never design a system that would work for the circumstances we had. So we built a test rig to prove our design and then replicated it full size (on the job) and got our BR Approval Certificate. Oh frabjous day! Callooh! Callay! ;-)

Domestic building renovation and improvement, viz. survey for, design of and installation of... Extensions, loft conversions, kitchens, bathrooms, central heating systems, roofing, foundations, drainage...in short, anything to do with making homes properly habitable.[This work necessitated adherence to the UK Building Regulations and associated British Standards and Codes of Practice, e.g. those for Wind Loading, Structural Masonry Design, Structural Concrete Design, Structural Timber Design and Roofing. Most builders don't know (or don't want to admit) that these documents even exist...]
