Understanding clients’ businesses and processes in order to provide valuable insights.• Ensuring deadlines were met, without compromising on professionalism and audit quality.Involvement in other areas of the business:• Audit scheduling manager (Auckland office) – ensuring that jobs were well staffed by liaising with job managers & partners, making & communicating unpopular decisions where required, resolution of staffing conflicts, and master use of the ‘Retain’ resourcing tool. • Approval of annual leave requests and expense claims for staff in line with the firm’s policies.• Recruitment liaison for Auckland Audit – responsible for the graduate/intern recruitment process from the service line’s perspective. • Training – facilitation of in-house graduate and second year training of audit staff. • Business development – part of the team who worked on several successful audit proposals.• Social committee – part of the Auckland cross-service line social committee for two years, helping to organise various events.
