    -Overall responsibility for the play-out of single or multiple channels as assigned on a rostered basis.-Ensuring that when things go wrong, programme and promotional content still goes to air following guidelines and priorities-Accurately viewing and prepping Live content for very fast turn-arounds and adding these technical details into the on air transmission playlist-Ensuring that the correct programme and break content is airing at the right time on all assigned channels through pre-transmission checks and constant on air checks.-Minimise disruption by selecting effective alternatives when transmission breakdowns occur.-Skilled operation of automation, presentation switchers, video file servers, character generators, video & audio monitoring devices and any other technical equipment required to maintain high technical and aesthetic qualities.-Assist with on the job training of On Air Services staff in all operational procedures and systems.-Frequent pressurised decisions required on a daily basis.

    My role was to provide extra resource to assist with the workloads placed on the On Air Department prior to and during the London Olympics 2012.Key responsibilities include:- To ensure all material transmitted is as per the transmission schedule without operation faults (e.g. wrong source, leaders to air etc).- To monitor video and audio levels and adjust if necessary.- Record technical and operational problems on the Operations Report.- Overview required by MCR, Media and Edit facilities and procedures.- Overview required of SKY Television Network distribution and transmission plan.- Supervise programme prep for TX as required.
