Starting as a Sales Cadet for my first 3 months, I worked along side the fleet department at Westar trucks in order to learn the model range, processes and procedures as well as get a basic understanding of dealing with customers throughout the delivery process. Now, as a full time Sales Consultant, my tasks involve target based sales, prospecting potential customers, delivery and order paperwork and building relationships with current and future customer base. In 2014, I completed the Isuzu Departmental Leadership Program ran by the Sewells Group which was a basic Front line Management course. June 2015 saw me take on a new role as a Tri Branded Salesman taking on the Western Star and MAN truck brands. Taking over an existing customer base as well as targeting conquest fleets. With access to the 3 brands, I was able to offer a diverse range of products to current and future Westar customers.

As a Sales Contract Administrator, my role was to ensure that build up and delivery of the Cat Trucks sold by the Sales Representative's was complete. These tasks involved ordering of parts, raising contractor purchase orders, raising service work orders, receiving trucks into stock, registration of new vehicles, preparation of warranty documents and assisting the Sales Team with deliveries and various other tasks. This position required high levels of organization and time management which helped me to ensure everything was completed as requested on time.

Starting as a 1st year apprentice in January 2012, I was trained to be a diesel mechanic by William Adams, Caterpillar Institute of Training and Kangan Institute of Tafe. Primarily my experience involved working mainly on the American branded trucks and Diesel engines while being exposed slightly to some earth moving equipment. In this time, my tasks ranged from general maintenance, engine overhauls, training of younger apprentices, customer service and 24 hour breakdown field service.
