    As the Supply Chain Director based in Juba, I am ultimately responsible for all medical supplies and equipment distributed to over 800 HPF3 health facilities across eight South Sudan states in the past three years. This role requires the monitoring, management and co-ordination of each aspect of the supply chain cycle, so that it performs efficiently, achieving project goals and donor performance targets within specific time frames. The HPF3 project supply chain has consistently completed final mile deliveries to health facilities three times a year despite challenging conditions and tight budgets. The work as a Supply Chain Director includes developing data analysis on usage improving quantifications, and building strong relationships with donors, ministries and project partners. Whilst working as the Supply Chain Director, I have overseen a budget of approximately £50 million pounds, 98% of the health facilities have received their deliveries within 21 days despite the extremely challenging conditions. The HPF3 supply chain is highly recognised for high levels of performance and exceeding its key performance indicators.

    Worked for two years with a team of fifteen people providing procurement services for the Ukraine Ministry of Health. Having successfully purchased high quality medical supplies and equipment worth up to US$35 million in 2018, our client entrusted the team to spend US$100 million in 2019. This was largely due to the impressive team performance in 2018. The procurement team followed internationally recognised tender procedures , ensured efficient delivery and made significant savings on behalf of the Ukraine Ministry of Health. This contract concluded in January 2020.

  • Supply Chain Lead Consultant - Project Design

    In January 2018 I travelled to Ethiopia to research the possibility of establishing a food aid supply chain to the eastern border region. This included visiting the Somaliland region and calculating the costs and resources required to implement a project that would immediately help feed 200,000 people. The proposal had the potential to scale up supply.

    Initially appointed as the CA-DFID Relationship Manager, then expanded in January 2013 to a dual role to include more operational management reporting to the UK Director Supply Chain Services and the Nigeria Country Director.Managed the end-to-end supply chain for all DFID-sponsored (UKAID) programmes in Nigeria, facilitating delivery of £30-40m of products and services per annum, mainly purchased under the DFID core country agreement.On time delivery increased from 70% to 90% within two years by optimising supply chain processes and techniques.Developed both the local and international supplier base to achieve higher levels of performance in the supply chain. Training and incentives helped suppliers better understand their role and requirement e.g. accelerated payment on delivery.Oversaw the annual procurement budget negotiating best value pricing and quality.Defined and implemented a client focused delivery strategy to strengthen the Crown Agents relationship with DFID and UK-sponsored programmes in Nigeria. Ensured high levels of quality assurance in a region that has been known to struggle with value for money procurement.Initiated and organised workshops to help clients maximise value from UK government funds.

    Completed a comprehensive logistics review for the supply and distribution of SMC commodities in Botswana.Visited 22/51 clinics and hospitals offering SMC nationwide to analyse efficiency and effectiveness of medical facilities storage and procedures.Created and presented an appropriate and cost-effective logistics plan for scaled provision of medical supplies throughout Botswana that would enable 500,000 men to access SMC.Desgned and produced standard operating documentation for the Botswana Ministry of Health and partners.

    Planned, implemented and managed the logistics strategy for the £30m DFID-sponsored HCP programme, helping to establish and sustain primary and secondary healthcare in Nigeria.Introduced best practise systems to enable large-scale supply of local and globally-sourced medicine and medical equipment to 1,292 primary and 135 secondary healthcare facilities in six Nigerian states.Implemented a drug revolving fund which still functions effectively six years after project completion.
