Physical Security Specialist

Provide physical security at designated installations as directed. As a security sub-contractor I have made multiple deployments to the Middle East for diplomatic static security operations. My deployments usually range from 65-90 days deployed with 30-45+ days of leave. I am required to work in a hostile environment for 7 days per week, 8+ hour shift per day, and on call/standby for the remainder of that day, and hold a secret security clearance. I am also required per contract to be proficient in building clearing/close quarters combat, hand to hand combat, and be a medical first responder as well as be proficient in the use of MG 58, MK 46, MK49, HK 69, M4 carbine, and Glock 9mm weapon systems. During my deployments I have operated as static security for static security operations. I have been responsible for the management of security of government facilities, equipment, and personnel. My daily duties included but not limited to identifying and responding to/assigning security operators to respond to security related incidents, which include but are not limited to indirect fire, active shooters, improvised explosive devices/vehicle improvised explosive devises, and medical emergencies, proficient use of CCTV surveillance cameras, barriers, rapid scan body scanner, vehicle searches, and personnel searches, conduct personnel and vehicle searches before allowing them access into a secured facility or site, resolve problems with staff and security issues, coordinate and track movements of personnel, vehicles, and aircraft and perform inspections of equipment, and site security in order to maintain a high state of alert and professional demeanor.Complete Tier 1 Group live tissue medical training course and TCCC training.Complete GSS shooting course per contract requirement for MVM.1 and 2 man room clearing/CQB tactics per contract requirement for MVM.

As a Guard Shift Supervisor, I was employed by Triple Canopy on the TWSS contract and assigned to COB Spiecher in Tikrit, Iraq. I arrived July 31, 2011 to assist in the final months and closure of the TWSS contract. My assignments included Guard Team Supervisor for Fourth Infantry Division Headquarters. I directly supervised ten TCNs in the performance of entry control point duties and perimeter and interior security. I was the liaison for officers up to General grade as representative for Triple Canopy reporting any incidents or cause of concern. I also served as Night Ops supervising all force protection operations by Triple Canopy. I also held the position of Guard Shift Supervisor managing multiple guard teams comprised of eighty-eight personnel ensuring that all guard relief, meal supplies, post inspections, vehicle issues and various paperwork was completed or resolved before end of shift. I held the position of Entry Control Point Supervisor managing thirty-seven personnel with the task of screening indigenous and third country nationals and vehicles before entry onto DOS facility in Tikrit, Iraq. I assisted the Force Protection staff with compiling an SOP for this new entry control point.As a Guard I provided static security for Ammunition Supply Point for Camp Leatherneck forward Marine base in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. During the course of my training, I received instruction in the Laws of Armed Conflict, Rules in Use of Force and Rules of Engagement among other pertinent subject matter. This training was to ensure competency and professionalism while fulfilling DOD contract requirements. My specific duties are to man posts in defense of US service personnel and government property. These positions are armed with various crew served weapons, specifically the 240 Bravo, M-2 heavy machine gun and the Mk-19 automatic grenade launcher.

During my volunteer work with international aid agencies, I was tasked with management and consultation of several construction projects for roofing, irrigation and fencing for orphanages and churches in Njeru, Jinja, Kityarera and Mbarrara, Uganda. I was responsible for the management of funds and purchasing required materials for various projects and management and payroll of indigenous personnel during construction projects.
