    Researched an opportunity in LED Lighting development and coordinated component suppliers, assembly lines, testing facilities, packaging design and manufacture, legal requirements, and business relationships in order to be one of the first companies to import LED lighting products in RSA. I was integral in procuring the distribution site and setting up the entire infrastructure of the Cape Town warehouse. This included implementation of all IT and business systems and protocols and drafting of all contracts and agreements.

    I conceptualised and built Rafterz from an 80m2 apartment in 1994 to a 700m2 entertainment venue in 1996 that is still operational today. I did everything from architectural design, building, infrastructure setup to staff recruitment and IT management and had some fun doing it too. I sold the business in 2000.
