Founded, owned, operated, (and sold to *MHI Communications), Professional Exhibits & Graphics Services (PEGS), a regional VAR for over a dozen custom modular and portable exhibit systems including Nomadic Displays, Tigermark, Exponents, Moss Fabric Structures, and Interlock Truss. Also, purchased MAXatrax Systems, re-designing the product line, and rebuilding the national VAR network.President and CEO: Founded PEGS* in 1981 and developed the company into one of the most successful exhibit systems and graphics design and production groups in the United States. Purchased one of PEGS’ vendors, MAXatrax Systems, a faltering manufacturer of portable exhibit systems in 1990, and successfully managed all aspects of both businesses including marketing, PEGS* direct sales, MAXatrax’s VAR sales, product development, production, creative, administration and finance. Developed PEGS* into a marketing leader by creating an innovative integrated marketing program which utilized new product previews; an industry-first lead-generating series of over 200 exhibitor training and trade show marketing seminars; print advertising; direct mail; and telemarketing programs. Successfully completed a profitable sale and merger of PEGS* with MHI Communications in 1997; and separately sold MAXatrax Systems to an independent investor group.Over 17 years of business, PEGS produced over 10,000 client projects and serviced many of the most recognizable brands, associations and government agencies in the Washington DC metropolitan region including Marriott Hotels, Verizon, Choice Hotels International, Smithsonian Institute, U.S. Dept. of Defense, Army, Navy, Coast Guard, and the Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish and Wildlife, SBA, IRS, most of the major regional advertising and marketing agencies, and dozens of non-profit associations.
