    FunLimon is a non-profit community development center located in El Limon, a small, seaside town on the Pacific Ocean in Nicaragua. Our mission is to do some good in Limon and surrounding communities. We are not sure exactly what that means but in pursuing the good we are conscious that we might be doing some harm. Our motto is: Do less harm than good.Fun Limon is situated on 30 acres across the street from Rancho Santana, a residential real estate development that was started in the late 90's. Our facility includes a professional-level baseball and soccer fields, a covered basketball court, a large exercise facility, a martial arts center, several school buildings, a playground, a petting zoo and picnic areas.We provide a variety of educational programs for adults and children including Spanish (literacy), English, music, art and various trade studies such as plumbing, carpentry, cosmetology, etc. These activities are provided day and evening, six days a week within our on-campus school buildings. Students are required to pay a minimal fee, have good attendance and maintain high grades.Several times a week we host sporting events in a variety of sports: soccer, baseball, basketball, andsoftball.We also provide a range of martial arts classes and competitions including Judo, Jiu Jitsu, boxing, wrestling and mixed martial arts.Our micro-loan program provides community members with access to capital. Loans are used for home improvements, entrepreneurial endeavors, and medical emergencies. We provide locals with the capital necessary to make life-changing investments
