The purpose of the role was to be accountable for and lead the intermediated distribution portfolio across New Zealand with a focus on enabling sustained business performance through the achievement of profitable growth and embedding customer value proposition and best practice sales operating rhythm. The key duties: • Develop and implement the profitable growth strategy • Drive and have accountability for the delivery of the Distribution strategic direction and supporting sales framework • Develop and implement the Major Trading Partners business strategy and proactively identify new markets/opportunities to expand trading partner relationships. • Participate as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to overall business unit strategy and initiatives • Deliver effective, streamlined sales and relationship management processes • Enable collaboration across Underwriting and Claims functions • Enhance the intermediary experience through continuous improvement and embed the Customer Value Proposition. • Ensure customer satisfaction at each point of connection and demonstrate customer centered focus. • Embed a robust risk management framework across the function. • Manage compliance with management directives and statutory regulations across NZ. • Build a strong personal market presence and act as the chief spokesperson for distribution strategy, initiatives, and key stakeholder management. • Accountable for the NZ distribution P&L and overall functional performance • Measure and analyse business operational risks to identify improvements. • People leadership o Create an environment that fosters high levels of employee engagement, diversity and inclusionStatement of Service- Former Employee o Build capability to deliver the CVP – partnership mindset, trusted relationships, data and insights, technical excellence o Role model values, setting the tone and behavioural expectations across the business.
