    I love working with Pretty Neat productions. Not only is their office filled with positive energy and endless games of table tennis but they put so much care towards their employees and projects it’s an absolute dream to be asked to produce for them. Last year I creative Produced a docie for them for @Derrick agency and produced a stills campaign for Ackermans and @99cents agency. Any time with Pretty Neat productions is a good time and I always feel super proud to represent them.

I also took care of logistics surrounding the talent, their movement orders as well as their time spent on and off set. This is a project that is very dear to my heart and I always feel deeply grateful to be a part of the team with GSEA and EO.

    In October 2022 I had the great privilege of releasing my first self Directed Documentary for France in South Africa at Paris Fashion week. At the time I was in hospital with a broken back, shoulder, arm, neck and then some after having survived a fall off Table Mountain so the effect of having this dream come true was barely felt by me because I was just trying to process the amazing gift of being given a second chance at life (I will write on this more in time). But seeing as it’s almost been a year I feel it’s probably time a share it and acknowledge the profound effect this Directorial debut had on me. “True Fashion Season 2 is the continuation of a mentoring project promoting more engaged ways of designing in a world of fast fashion.In the second edition, conceived by The French Institute of South Africa and the fashion school Casa 93 in Paris , 4 young creatives explore the richness of exchange between French and South African perspectives.Their creations will be presented at Paris Fashion Week in October. This is the beginning of their experience together.”So, from the Karoo, Cape Town, Kayelitsha to Paris we see our intrepid young designers grapple with what and how they choose to create, who they want to represent through their garments and ultimately- how they wish to project themselves to the world. I feel very lucky to have been given the task of campturning some of the essence of Zaza, Eddie, Khumo and Isis. There is a sense of grace in the telling other’s stories. Putting visual representation to emotion in the hopes of making one’s audience see, feel and understand is the kindle that keeps humanity alive - we, all of us are after all storytellers. Thank you to my DOP darling Nelis Botha, photographer and Goat whisperer Ruth Armstrong and Adam Wiest for his editing skills and unwavering support of all my many projects. Sound design was done by Tim Pringle at Origin audio.

    We are producing an international mini series with the EO for the GSEA where we have traveled to the USA, India, Brazil and Ireland to tell narrative stories of young entrepreneurs. Once we have shot all of our documentary pieces we moved into studio where she shot a "game show" style shoot with judges from all over the world as the students compete for the grand prize of $40 000.00

    Myself and Robert Wisniewski ran a sweet production company for about 2 years. We wanted to specialise in creating moving portraits that showcased the stories of creative individuals from all walks of life. We spent time with painters and sculptors with fashion houses and NGO's. We had fun running a production company but we both felt like we were not yet ready to step away from freelancing in its totality so we shelved Wax On productions.     Jaco and James were my gate way into the world of advertising and production of docies and music videos. I loved working with these guys and learnt so so much from them!
