My full-time job involves building the capability of school library staff, educators, and school management teams in schools throughout Otago and Southland. This role centres on working alongside school staff to create and develop effective and responsive school library services. I also contribute to professional development by delivering face to face and online learning opportunities across a variety of content areas including but not limited to: digital literacy, reading, and school library development.

I was in the Children's Services department and was part of a small collaborative team. I was reponsible for the non-fiction collection management, providing reference and readers advisory services to children and parents. In addition I provided pre school storytime programmes, holiday activity programmes, and hosted a variety of visits to the library by school groups, and other interested visitors.
