    After a year working in the core engineering team, I was tasked with leading development on Pickr’s ValidateIQ image recognition product. ValidateIQ is Pickr’s method of handling the massive scale of evidence auditing needed for OpenReach’s full fibre roll-out. Tens of thousands of photos are required to be audited and approved every day at Pickr; ValidateIQ makes this possible.ValidateIQ is a C# .Net Core based micro-service running on AWS Lambda. It utilises the machine learning infrastructure within AWS to power its image recognition. ValidateIQ analyses photo evidence in real time and returns responses via http. The project enables the Pickr contractors to get paid for their work faster than ever before.On top of this, the role also involved building out Pickr’s early approach and strategy around data as a whole.
