    My position was a Sports Co-ordinator i used to work alongside and supporting a specialist physiotherapist, I was required to provide both individual and group activity sessions for mental health patients within the NHS. Working as part of the team the job is to ensure our clients have access to develop a range of physical exercise and sporting activities, my main job role requires me to co-ordinate adjustment to personal programmes and carry out gym inductions, as well as overseeing the effective and safe use of resistance machines, free weights and cardiovascular equipment within the gym facility. I work predominantly with vulnerable adults and patients with specific needs and over the past 7 years working with the NHS I have developed my role by gaining more responsibilities. As a result I have became a Physical Interventions Tutor and delivering mandatory control and restraint training to NHS staff. I was also keen to take up other professional and career development opportunities, completing courses including Information Governance and Data protection, Clinical risk training, Engagement & Support, Safeguarding Children, Manual Handling and Safeguarding vulnerable adults, Basic computer Training, Equality and Diversity training and Basic life support, First Aid, ILS - Imediate Life Support.

    Role was as a GSA Physical Interventions Tutor an addition to my main role as Sports and Leisure Co-ordinator. I was required to carry out 25 teaching days a year, which include, Theory based PowerPoint presentations, Controlled Restraint, Breakaway this includes mandatory training for staff working within a Forensic Mental Health setting. Lessons and Search Training all of which follow the General Services Association core curriculum.
