As a 3D Artist, I work directly with the art director to help bring environments and assets to life for use in VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality).Noteable projects I have worked on that can be shared include:Fire of Warwick Museum AR experience - I assisted the project with optimising details on the mesh used. I also created the fire and smoke VFX within Unity. Birmingham Royal Ballet AR experience - I worked on the models currently available on the Birmingham Hippodrome's website that can be viewed in AR. These included props and costumes from the Nutcracker Ballet. Taking the scanned assets, I retopologised them and detailed/tidied high poly versions to bake before texturing them and adding roughness, metallic, Ambient Occlusion and proper Normal Maps. I was then responsible for optimising the meshes and textures for use in AR. I created Snapchat versions of the costumes that follow body tracking and allow audiences to 'wear' the costumes. I also worked on some of the assets for a VR version of the project, including rebuilding and optimising the entire stage. Check out the Birmingham Hippodrome AR experience, or head into Birmingham to see more! My general day to day tasks across our projects include: - Retopologising photogrammetry scanned assets and preparing, including low poly creation and material creation, them for use in VR and AR.-Developing Environments and props from scratch, as well as scanned data, for VR training experiences running in Unity.-Material creation in both Substance Designer and Substance Painter.-Asset and material optimisation.-VFX and material shader creation.-High to low poly baking workflows.-UV creation.-Work is done in Maya, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, ZBrush and Unity.

Returning the UK I landed a role as Build Manager with a company that has just been absorbed by Mitie. As part of the Telecoms division I was responsible for organizing on site, civils works and supervising and managing builds and remedials across our extensive portfolio of sites. I am a trained site manager and the registered PICW. I would often be on site to advise and ensure that the plans in place are adhered to and that the Health and Safety is up to standard and being followed. Along with organizing on site works and developing relationships with our contractors I would also survey sites to determine civil based issues that need addressing. I worked closely with Project managers to advise the works required and who is best to complete them, assisting with the costing and the organization of the projects. I was also part of the Drone survey team, I have an A2 qualification to fly drones and conduct surveys to develop Photogrammetry based 3d renders of our sites for engineers. I was responsible for ensuring the data acquired is of the best quality to create the most detailed 3D compositions that are being used to extensively upgrade our vast range of sites to 5G.

Service Delivery Technician
-
Dec 2013 - Mar 2014
As a technician it is my duty to deliver technical support for multiple sites in Sydney, Australia. This requires me to be a reliable and knowledgable asset for the company as I am expected to be on call at all times should sites require technical or I.T support. Support ranges from repairing photography and computer equipment and updating software to installing and modifying current tech to help sites remain efficient and profitable assets for the company. I am expected to be knowledgable of all current systems that the company runs on and am able to offer support both on site and remotely. I have to be able to work alongside other technicians and engineers when it comes to learning new systems and software we implement whilst maintaining an ability to manage technical support alone for the Sydney area. This means that, often, I will be working on my own and managing the requirements of multiple sites simultaneously to ensure that the company is always in a position to provide customers with quality service and products.

Site Manager
-
May 2013 - Dec 2013
As Site Manager for Magic Memories at Warwick Castle it was my responsibility to lead and manage the photography and photography sales department along side the Site Performance Manager. This was across 4 photo units across site at Warwick Castle. My day to day duties included ensuring a smooth and efficient operation across site focusing on meeting our KPI targets and offering tech support on site. I led a growing team of individuals and was responsible for overseeing their development within the company from assisting with on site training to offering support on the front line. Away from the sales areas I was responsible for fulfilling specific duties such as stock control and technical support to costume orders and theming. I had to be in constant contact with my performance manager, head office and operations manager to make sure that I had everything I required to run my site. I was also given the opportunity to be an active part of the creative set up of the site offering ideas and suggestions to improve all areas and then implementing them when they had been agreed upon.

QA Technician

Feb 2011 - Sep 2011
Games worked on:Bodycount (Xbox 360)Dirt 3 (Xbox 360)Operation Flashpoint: Red River (Xbox 360)Formula 1 2011 (Xbox 360)In this role I worked on a project under development by taking the project game and testing it. This means looking out for bugs in the game and reporting them straight to the development team. I worked closely with senior staff whilst following strict test plans from tick sheets to more detailed work flows dealing with aspects of the games such as save data. The role has given me an insight into how games are developed and how changes are made and then implemented. It also gave me experience in an office based environment which, before this role, was never a prominent work area for me.
