Led the Engineering team during growth from 10,000 boed to 65,000 boed; and managed capital development programs which grew from $35M to over $130M.► Managed year-end reserve evaluation using McDaniel’s, Sproule and GLJ of an asset base of 13M boe in 2003 to over 200M boe’s with a NPV of over $3.5 billion. Evaluated major acquisitions from 300 boed to 18,000 boed. (Storm and Encana).► Collaborated with exploitation reservoir / production staff to achieve budget and maintained responsibility for yearly reserve evaluations and budget updates of current asset base. Presented quarterly updates to management and the board of directors on success of capital program.► Managed the Joint Venture department which oversaw over 25,00boed of non- operated assets.

    ► Oversaw 11,000 boe/d consisting of; 5,000bbls/d of oil and liquids and over 33mmcfd of gas. Drayton Valley office – Pembina Cardium and Minnehik Buck Lake gas plant.► Coordinated tie in of a 50-well program in the Pembina Cardium area. Completed a compression optimization study on Minnehik Buck Lake. Plant compression consisted of four units with 11,750 hp – and field compression of five units and 5,000 hp.► Production Engineer for Joffre – which is one of only two CO2 floods in Canada. Continued to optimize field of production of over 100m3/d oil.► Worked with geology and exploitation on acquisition opportunities; focused on finding flat production trends that indicated optimization potential, reviewed options to reduce operating costs and investigate any third-party revenue streams.Senior Exploitation/Reservoir Engineer – Plains and Central Alberta► Responsible for play economics, reserve evaluation and acquisition economic evaluations. Evaluated property acquisitions; which included: detailed analysis of production histories; reserve analysis; operating costs and upside; and an analysis and review of third-party evaluation. ► Successful acquisitions included; Silver B.C. (Encal-12mmcfd gas), Shadow (Petromet -850bbls/d oil), Utikuma (Pioneer – 350boe/d), Progress (Enerplus – 7mmcfd) and Joffre (Numac – 650bbls/d).► Created a development plan, drilling schedule, reserve estimates and processing agreements for Mega. Debolt pool producing 20mmcfd. ► Optimization engineering - responsible for property optimization (cost reduction), yearly budgets, year-end reserve analysis and acquisition evaluation.► Reserve Coordinator: Coordinated the evaluation of Penn West’s 1998, 1999, 2000 year-end reserve reports through the use of Sproule, McDaniels and GLJ. Cost of all consultants was $1,000,000. Value of assets was in excess of $2 billion.► Integrated reserve increases of 42mmboe for 1998 which was 360% of total production for the year.
