    Studying undergraduate organic chemistry instructional practices within Professor Alena Moon's chemistry education research group.TA for organic chemistry I and II courses (answer questions during lecture, hold four hours of office hours a week, create/grade weekly recitation worksheets and quizzes, and proctor/grade examinations).Interim instructor for organic chemistry II course experience Courses taken: human cognition and instruction, and statistical methods.UNL Chemistry REU Lecturer/Mentor: Taught REU students how to construct scientific communications of their research projects during the summer of 2023. $1,000 was given as a research travel grant for an upcoming conference. $5,000 was given from the Spring Fling Fellowship. Scored in the 100th percentile of the ACS organic chemistry full-year graduate entrance exam. Have also obtained scores in the 75th percentile and in the 94th percentile for the ACS physical and analytical chemistry full-year graduate entrance exams. Tested out of a three credit graduate course with these scores.

    Two years of step-growth polymer synthetic research under the advisement of Professor Ned Bowden.Two years of discussion and lab assistant teaching (principles of chemistry, organic chemistry). Assistant teaching rookie of the year in 2020.One year as chemical safety liaison for the lab. Courses taken: electrochemistry, mechanisms of organic reactions, spectroscopic methods in organic chemistry, organic reactions, polymer science and technology, educational psychology, and qualitative research methodology and design. Instruments used: column chromatography, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, gel permeation chromatography with multi-angle light scattering detection, gas chromatography, ultraviolet spectroscopy, polarimetry.Literature presentation given on low oxidative state sulfur-nitrogen bonds and their green chemistry applications at the University of Iowa in October of 2021. Research poster presented during first annual True Lecture and at the prospective graduate student poster walkthrough at the University of Iowa in May of 2022. Helped plan Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity (DEI) symposium, presented research poster at ACS Midwest Conference in Iowa City, Iowa, in October of 2022. Designed general chemistry II lecture worksheets under the Carver Grant during the summer of 2022.
