    Structural design lead for the Mt Eden station precinct as part of the Link Alliance delivering the City Rail Link (CRL) project in Auckland, NZ. The role included overseeing a team of engineers and modelers based in New Zealand and Spain to deliver the structural design for two above ground buildings and two platforms at the interchange between the existing North Auckland rail line and the new CRL underground rail line. Due to Covid travel restrictions my role was remote working based in Melbourne.The project was delivered under an alliance model which allowed design stage co-ordination between not only the design consultants, but also the construction team, facility management team and the end client. This ensured the design solution worked at all stages of the building's construction and use.

    In my role I was responsible for the delivery of multiple projects using a number of separate teams. At the start of projects I personally worked on the schematic design to ensure the quality of the solution provided to the client. I acted as a mentor to younger engineers to assist with the development of their technical skills. My role included direct dealings with the clients during delivery and in a marketing role to assist with securing new projects.

    I joined Winward Structures as a structural engineer and have worked on a variety of high rise and large scale projects. In the early years my role was primarily the delivery of design which allowed me to develop my technical skills. I was promoted to Associate in 2005 when I moved to London to work with the Winward Dexter joint venture. In this more senior role, I was responsible for the delivery of projects using a small team. In 2012 I was promoted to Senior Associate in recognition of the senior technical role I played within the company. In 2014 Winward Structures become part of the WSP group.

    Winward Dexter is a joint venture between Winward Structures and the London based David Dexter Associates. I led a small team to deliver the structural design for a high rise apartment building in London secured by the joint venture. I worked closely with the London director to market and promote the joint venture to existing and new clients. My experience included the design of a broad range of residential, institutional and commercial projects.
