-
Dec 2013 - Aug 2015
• Worked 20 hours per week while in graduate school full time• Increased the efficiency of data collection protocol for MIECHV program data by creating a Google form that requests and stores data for analysis automatically, replacing a less efficient system where grantee responses were collected via individual emails and manually entered into a Microsoft Word document• Gained practical experience working with large datasets in Microsoft Access by volunteering to compile the FY2014 Discretionary Grant Information System (DGIS) Program and Performance Measure data report for the Maryland MIECHV program required by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).• Improved Maryland MIECHV’s DGIS reporting protocol by establishing query logic that revealed random missing data, which lead to the creation of improved data collection and cleaning efforts.• Wrote the first annual DGIS Report to Grantees using clear language and appropriately simple data figures to provide feedback for grantees that highlighted successes, areas of improvement, and the next steps necessary to improve data quality.
