Performed energy management services, primarily energy audits and retro-commissioning of facilities in the commercial, industrial and government sectors. This work includes base lining current energy consumption trends through data logging and on site investigation as well as identifying and quantifying the savings of potential energy conservation measures.Worked closely with local utility companies to secure incentives for clients to perform energy conservation projects.Developed numerous spreadsheet calculators for estimating energy savings for various energy conservation measures utilizing bin temperature analysis and equipment performance formulas.Utilize Trane Trace for energy and load calculations for the purpose of quantifying energy savings of proposed energy conservation measure projects.

Supported a project with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to perform comprehensive energy management services, including an energy audit of approximately 3.2 million square feet, energy audit analysis and design of a detailed energy management project plan. Developed and delivered a behavioral-based energy management training presentation to facility stakeholders and energy managers at nine FEMA campuses across the country.Separately, supported various nationwide energy management initiatives for federal agencies, laboratories and US Army Reserve bases. Supporting a project for Oak Ridge National Laboratory, I conducted energy audits of 600,00 square feet of facilities in accordance with Energy Star Portfolio Manager, LEED-EBOM, FEMP Auditing Guidance, and High Performance Sustainable Buildings Guiding Principles; and performed a comprehensive analysis of existing systems’ replacement/renovation to result in energy cost savings. Worked on a heating plant decentralization feasibility study for the FEMA National Emergency Training Center campus containing over 500,000 square feet spread over 25 buildings.

On this US Army Funded project, I aided in the development of a hydrogen fuel cell powered car. I was primarily in charge of the physical design and layout of all equipment in the car. This included calculations for optimal weight distribution and proper heat rejection. Other specific responsibilities included developing CAD models of the car, including all equipment required to power the car - such as the fuel cells, battery banks and corresponding electrical wiring.
