    Originally employed as an IT Technician, working within the Hampshire Public Services Network team, my main responsibilities included sourcing and implementing billing solutions for telecoms related services provided to Council departments, customers and partners. Working with in-house developers, this involved the set-up and maintenance of large SQL databases, housing the import of millions of call records every month. Web-front ends would provide clients with access to billing portals from which they could run personalised reports and consolidate bills. This also necessitated liaison with key suppliers (BT, Unisys, Virgin Media, Vodafone, O2, Orange) to ensure the provision of data via their own portals.As adopted owner of the systems and processes required for the recovery of large amounts of income from these services, I moved into the IT Finance Dept, where the same principles could then be applied to other IT services, improving on existing procedures, and allowing for much greater efficiency and accuracy. I progressed to IT Revenues Supervisor, managing the team responsible for the recovery of all income from IT services supplied to our clients, amounting to around £25m a year.The requirement to work closer with the IT Orders Team meant expanding the team to incorporate all aspects of the IT ordering, procurement and billing processes, including the design, provision and maintenance of online ordering systems, electronic service catalogues, online contracts and assets databases, billing portals and call logging systems for customers as part of their overall customer support facilities. This included the procurement and invoicing of suppliers and customers in SAP, first point of contact support for customer orders, expenditure and income analysis, responding to FOI enquiries, and close liaison with more key suppliers. This also included producing regular reports to Managers at service ownership level, and monthly income analysis to the Department's DFU.

    Originally set up as an online medium for publishing links to articles I'd had published on other web-sites, and photos I'd taken whilst reviewing festivals, it soon became an ideal place to plan, preview and comment on every gig I was going to. As my day job became more and more demanding, these pages have stopped being updated, and now really just serves as a personal diary of a very busy and enjoyable period in my life. I hope it demonstrates my writing style, and my passion for underground music.Current projects include the conversion of my music library for use with the latest DJ tools, with a view to exploring the influences of underground music from the past on current artists and styles, with artist and label features via podcasts, DJ mixes and audio visual presentations and films.
