• Ensure the effective achievement of Gas Distribution objectives through the leadership of the Gas Distribution – setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and the performance of the section.• Review new system and modification proposal and discusses feasibility of proposals from the operational standpoint or areas where improvement may possible.• Participates in commissioning of new projects and plant modifications. Ensure equipment operate according to specifications and recommends changes to operating procedures.• Issue Permit to Work and Safety Tags to carry out the required maintenance work – includes isolation of problem areas and perform electrical switching as may be needed.• Review Operation Foreman, Control Room, and Field Operators log sheets to determine no deviations from standard parameters.• Manage and control shutdown maintenance activities. Ensure that all shutdown requirements are in place prior to plant release.• Investigate incidents/accidents in Network, troubleshoot and analysis of the cause(s) and take or recommend corrective action as appropriate including modification, repairing and/or replacement of equipment and report as required.• Participates in developing the Department’s Business Plan, capital, and operating budget and monitors expenditure.• Monitor and ensure that daily, weekly and monthly operational routines such as test and programs are implemented.• Raise – via SAP – Chemical/Material reservations and PR as required.• Follow up with Maintenance to resolves all Raise notification – via SAP – to maintenance by Operation Foreman and to insure job closure with tabulated time.• Development of operational procedures and OHSMS safety manuals,• Well versed with applicable industry standards and code, like ASME B-31.8, B-31.8S, B-16.x, IGT, etc.
