      Over a 20 year span with this telecommunications giant, I always steered my career over to the computer / software / internet side of the business. You could work at AT&T for 20 years and not know much beyond how to attend a meeting or how to manage a project. That wasn't for me. I always looked for and generally found within that big company interesting work that challenged me. My accomplishments included being instrumental in launching the first workflow automation software to hit the U.S.and launching a new media platform for the internet.My marketing and communication expertise had a bell-shaped head look to it; but, I'm not complaining. Right about now, I should be saying "after taking early retirement, I've never looked back." But that's not true. I often do look back and with gratitude. I'll always be grateful for the growth opportunities I was given (sometimes fought for) there.
