ADVERTISING - I worked with clients and agencies to develop marketing campaigns that cater to their budgets and fulfill their marketing needs. My clients ranged from small mom and pop Etsy shops to big box retailers. Each brand has a different story and I enjoy crafting a tailored message for every one of them.SOCIAL MEDIA GURU - I managed the magazine's Facebook and Twitter channels by delivering daily posts, exciting contests and engaging giveaways. I grew Modern Dog's social media channels from 22,000 followers to 65,000+ followers during my employment. When the magazine decided to target cat owners by launching Modern Cat, I headed up its Facebook and Twitter platforms as well and served as in-house cat consultant as an owner of two cats.SALES ASSOCIATE - I've networked at major trade shows to gain new clients and foster better relationships with existing clients. To keep up to date on client records, I maintained a detailed database of prospects and customers and documented sales calls and client details to facilitate follow-up by using Salesforce. In addition to traditional print and online ads, I came up with highly profitable social media revenue opportunities to boost our magazine's bottom line.CONTENT GENERATOR - Managing social media ties hand in hand with engaging content that drives readers/followers to our social media channels and magazines. I generated and gathered content for daily social media posts and comprised material for weekly e-newsletter mailing blasts to our 58,000+ e-news subscribers.

CLIENT MANAGEMENT - I frequently interacted with direct customers and advertising/marketing agencies by generating promotional ideas and sourcing and delivering high-quality products to the end consumer. For each marketing campaign/event I maximized product value to customers by making promotional recommendations that are tailored to clients’ needs and budget. PROJECT COORDINATION - Through project experience with large brands such as Anheuser Busch, Bacardi, and TD Bank, I successfully monitored and delivered each project from initial inquiry to final delivery. My most notable project is sourcing a Christmas employee appreciation gift for Proctor & Gamble. I worked diligently with multiple ceramics factories to come up with a large elegant platters for P&G's employees. Through multiple batch tests, I selected the best factory that could deliver 70,000 platters that are colourful, high-quality, and durable to our client. Factory selection was the key to success in this project as the platters were delivered on time and generated $700,000 in profit. EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATOR - As an Account Executive, my fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English helped me serve as liaison between Chinese suppliers and North American clients. In reviewing factory compliance documents, my fluency in Chinese allowed me to pick up important details to eliminate any unsuitable suppliers. My strength in oral and written communications enabled me to relay information from the suppliers to the clients, effectively connecting the two parties and achieving my clients' goals.

BARISTA - I performed operational tasks quickly to increase the number of customers served and improved customer service by identifying regular customers and their orders. After three months of employment, I began to monitor new employees through training sessions and managed other employees by assigning tasks. At store-wide meetings, I voiced operational and customer concerns to upper management to help the store improve its overall operations. CUSTOMER ENGAGER - I enjoyed the opportunity to interact with customers and to resolve their concerns. By encouraging customers to try new products, I effectively helped the store increase its overall sales. I loved being able to star a customer's day by offering them a quality cup of coffee and I took pride in brightening a child's day whenever I handed them a cup of delicious hot chocolate!
