The project is the design-build of 24,000’ long, 26’ diameter CSO tunnel constructed in soft ground under and adjacent to the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers.Team Leader: Lead a team of 12 mechanics in underground setting.-Conducted Safety meetings and Daily job outline.-Inspected running equipment, troubleshoot and fix equipment as necessary. Some of this inspection and/or works required crawling and/or climbing tight, high and small spaces, using safety harness if need be.-Assist with TBM and related system assembly and disassembly during related periods.-Identify and report operating problems to Supervisor and perform emergency repair in challenging and time pressure environment.-Monitor and analyze all TBM operating parameters by checking field readings and data acquisitionsystem with a pro-active and preventive approach to diagnose faults or malfunctions.-Assisted cutter-head maintenance, including cutter disks and tools during hyperbaric works.-Monitor all TBM consumable levels and assist with necessary refill to ensure that production ransmoothly and continuously in all shifts.-Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.-Repair and replaced damaged or worn parts using the needed tools and necessary spare parts found in the site warehouse.-Dismantled and reassembled heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.-Tested mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly, to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.-Overhaul and test machines and equipment to ensure operating efficiency.

This project extended the Metro Gold Line subway from Union Station in downtown Los Angeles. The construction of the twin subway tunnels occurred through a very congested area of the city, as the entire alignment of this project was in a densely populated urban area. Each tunnel was 7,500 linear feet long. The Tunnels were excavated with two new 21-foot-diameter Earth Pressure Balance (EPB) tunnel machines in alluvial soils, both above and below the groundwater table.-Conducted Safety meetings and Daily job outline.-Inspected running equipment, troubleshoot and fix equipment as necessary.
