Our typical project consists of, managing projects for clients on site and in the office, of middle to high-end ($400K to $1.4 million) homes and offices from design conception through build-out completion and interiors, as required.

    Lead residential designer for company of 23 employees- 2- architects, 4- engineers, 2- builders. Duties included producing home designs and carrying those through complete working drawing documents, coordinating with estimators for build, assisting customers through the design process. Occasionally designed alongside lead architect in the creation of commercial properties and up-fits.

    Assisted in creating the firm from a one-man operation to a flourishing architectural firm responsible for light commercial, light industrial, institutional and residential in the Greenwood and Upstate South Carolina area. A company of 2: 1- architect and myself, later to grow to 6 employees: 2- architects, 1- draftsman, 2- designers (myself included), and 1- office manager.Duties included producing residential design concepts and taking those through complete construction documents producing full sets of plans, orchestrating connection with builders, assisting with estimating during design, assisting the customer through the design process and coordinating with draftsmen. Also assisted lead architect in the production of light commercial and industrial property design and plan document production. This firm grew quickly and was acquired by Heaner Architects and Engineers where it expanded.
