Project won the 2018 ACUI Facility Design Award of Excellence. 105,000sf, $37 million.• 10 Story Twin Tower Residential Hall Renovation – 1000 beds, lounges & dining hall. Led $10 million value engineering with architect and client at the beginning of design development. 280,000sf, $75 million. On hold at Construction Document phase.• Renovations of Four Campus Dining Facilities – Design project manager with college partner Sodexo Food Services. Total value $23,000,000.• Academic Building Roof Replacement and Water Infiltration – Led consultant in basement water infiltration investigations, remediation and renovations to Nursing school labs and total roof replacement $2,100,000.• Recording Studio Acoustic Remediation – Managed an architect and acoustician to resolve sound issues coming from HVAC ductwork. $130,000.• ADA masterplan – Led committee and managed design for yearly ADA improvements. $200,000 annual budget.• Space Planning – Managed and maintained Archibus database with 2 student workers. 2,300,000sf:8,900 rooms:160 floors.

Requested and reviewed proposals from 16 global firms, interviewed candidates, and hired firm to create development proposals and guidelines for the 450-acre research park.• College of Architecture, Art and Design – Directed all aspects of 121,700 sq. ft. project, including design, tender management, MEP coordination, and construction supervision. Worked with 2 Deans and faculty members in reorganizing/upgrading facilities and enhancing sustainability, receiving high praise from students and faculty.• Project Management – Served as Project Manager for design of a K-12 school based on American and IB models (for 1,800 students and 150 housing units on 85 acres). Organized consultant search with Design Committee and worked extensively with Procurement in developing draft document to become standard consultant contract. Phase 1 of the school is valued at $43 million.• Energy Conservation Proposal – Assisted Facilities in writing comprehensive proposal that reversed prior failures and led to the hiring of a top company for assessing campus and subsequently reducing utility bills 30%.

Contributed to writing, tendering, and awarding of the university’s 2 largest contracts (AC maintenance and custodial services), ensuring the most cost-effective contract services available.• Technology Integration – Influenced implementation of groupware tool Twiki used to document departmental and inter-departmental procedures, as well as creating a collaborative knowledge base for project data. Worked with IT to implement project development tracking application Trac, resulting in tracking of 99 ongoing projects, 103 completed projects, and 75 deferred (unfunded) requests. • Design and Construction – Arranged design team for large, new business school (146,5000 sq. ft.) managed by AUS without the Sharjah government; facility opened successfully in 2011 to rave reviews.
