Drove the successful assessment and early horizontal well development of the Wasatch uncon-ventional reservoir in the Uinta Basin, Utah, USA.• Developed an integrated Field Development Plan (FDP) to monetize an asset with a potential$2 Billion present value.• Executed FDP 6 months early, accelerating 2014 oil cumulative production by ~276,000 bbls.• Reduced commercial risk on 48 square miles of reservoir, generating 105% proved reserve replacement for 2014 (11 MMBOE vs 5 MMBOE).• Pushed Utah state government regulatory change to increase drilling inventory 586%, from 14 horizontal wells to 96 horizontal wells 6 months ahead of schedule.• Integrated sequence stratigraphy, structure, geomechanics, geochemistry, natural fracture trends, well data to recommend monetizing acreage outside Newfield’s core area.• Recruited and led a multidisciplinary subsurface and operations team that exceeded all 2013 and 2014 project goals.

Senior Geologist / Subsurface Team Lead
-
2005 - 2012
Geologist for New Field Developments in Malaysia and New Ventures activities in SE Asia. Successfully led integrated team to create plans to rejuvenate a mature oil field.• Delivered within aggressive timelines 3 Field Development Plans (East and West Belumut, Chemingat fields) with combined reserves exceeding 50 MMBOE.• Generated a Full Field Review (Tembungo FFR) with new sequence stratigraphy and structural models that increased the reserve potential more than 50% for infill drilling.• Structural model identified exploration prospects with potentially 26 MMBO reserves.• Built six structurally and stratigraphically complex Petrel models for volumetrics, reservoir simulation, and project de-risking (PM323, SK310, DW2C, Tembungo).• Worked New Ventures datarooms, screened opportunities, presented candidates to Management – resulting in the capture of the Tembungo redevelopment opportunity.• Contributed to well planning (prognosis, targeting) and horizontal well geosteering.

Member of multidisciplinary ExxonMobil and PETRONAS Carigali team supporting four Angsi field development phases, appraising discoveries, geosteering horizontal wells.• Worked on development plans with a potential 160 MMBO and 1.4 TCF in reserves.• Re-characterized multiple stacked reservoirs to explain prior drilling results, de-risk ongoing development, and refine reserve estimations.• Assessed new field discoveries, Angsi-C and Angsi-D. • Geosteered early Angsi-C horizontal wells in challengingly thin 3 meter windows.

Exploration and Development Geologist and Team Lead for West Texas assts.• Rejuvenated mature Brown Bassett field with successful new play (Strawn horizontals) and a refined old play (deep stacked Ellenburger karst). Captured 1.7 MMBOE in re-serve transfers and potentially another 7-10 MMBOE with future development.• Identified, matured, and drilled a new play type in Fusselman tight carbonate.• Drilled infill horizontal wells that significantly increased oil production in mature Abo and San Andres carbonate secondary and tertiary oil recovery projects.• Identified and matured Atoka deep gas fluvial prospects in New Mexico, USA.
