General traffic office duties looking after in excess of 70 vehicles which consist of rolling week drivers,monday to friday drivers, trampers and day men. Monitor and control drivers hours and monitor deliveries. Trunking and overnight drivers are also used and need to be monitored. Customer problems and rules are adhered to and controlled in a proffessional manner.Work in a team but able to work on my own. De-brief drivers throughout the day and give oyt insructions and resolve issues as and when they arise. Been made redundant Weds 24th January

Plan outgoing and incoming loads and monitor vehicle availabilty and man up vehicles. Day and night operation. Control vehicle and trailer servicing, debrief drivers both at start of shift and end. Control PODS and check for correctness.Reason for leaving was company was taken over by another company but i had already left before that happened because this next job came in for me.

Kellogg Company of GB Limited (via XPO Logistics contract) 1998 to present UK and Island of Ireland Transport Operations Co-ordinator Daily operational control of logistics relating to transport planning and optimisation of deliveries across the whole Kellogg customer base, including short lead time (day 1 for day 2), International transportation, multiple destination deliveries and promotional stock build activities (including Pringles Impulse activities). Supplier management of haulage provider for Island of Ireland, including scheduling, vehicle availability and weather response and mitigation All operations across a 7 day per week rolling cover, with shifts ranging from 0600 - 1700 Integration of Pringles business into Kellogg business (2012) including knowledge sharing with new colleagues from the incoming business, haulier on-boarding and developing standard work processes to ensure that every can shipped across the transition Supported and delivered knowledge transfer to new colleagues as role moving to new Transport Delivery Centre based in Romania (2015-16) – ensured that service and continuity is maintained by spending 7 weeks delivering training to new starters (in addition to day role). Schedule upto 100 loads per day which includes full trucks and Multi drop work all over the UK

Plan and arrange vehicle and driver and comply with rules and regulations relating to drivers hours on a daily basis from a general haulage fleet of up to 50 vehicles.Schedule vehicles and also use where necessary sub-contractors..Liase with customer/customer services/ warehouse/workshops on a regular basis. Resolve any issues that may arise on a day to day basis . Be the point of contact for drivers and give out instructions and solve problems, be pro-active and inform customers of any delays that may occur.Provide solutions and cost savings where possible through the use of good vehicle utilisation and sub-contract usage.Always be conscience of cost savings but have no impact on service to the customer.Saved the company in excess of £50k per year through obtaining regular back load work. Built up good contacts and knowledge and it was useful.
