Acts as the liaison between The Office of Language Services and Central IRM. Acts as primary IT contact for an office of approximately 80 people.

    As a Senior Programmer I was tasked with investigating various ways to start migration from a Wang VS7330 to a Client Server System. I helped setup a SMP Server with NT Server and Microsoft SQL Server (ver 4.21a). After setting up tables using Access V2 via the upsizing wizard, I then wrote a series of Wang Cobol programs to format the flat files into ASCII tab delimit files to be transferred to the server. Methods used were software from glossar software and a special dat drive. Programs were written to mirror the batch occurring on our Wang system to the server using Wang Cobol via Lightspeed.

    As part of a team of Senior Systems Analysts and Senior Programmers, my job is to function as a Senior Programmer. Software releases are done on a quarterly basis and involve over 27 remote field sites. I am tasked with writing Software Change Requests (SCR's) and Engineer Change Proposals (ECP's) after receiving changes or additions to the client’s software. In addition, I code changes to programs per the ECP's, and when necessary, code new programs and subroutines. I am also tasked with assisting Hotline with software related questions, Hardware when FastLan problems arise, and Documentation personnel with PC Graphical and Word Processing tools and helping answer questions and investigate problems as they arise. Currently the above tasking has been suspended and I am working on a SMP machine performing Research and Development work as to where we might want to take the client in the future. The work is being done with Access and SQL Server with the operating system being NTAS on top of Novell.
