    When Saldanha Steel started I stopped most of my private work as I received a big contract from them. Power Construction received the main contract for the building of the living quarters of Saldanha Steel. I was approached and did approximately 70% of the building, plumbing and inside electrical work as sub - contractor for Power Properties. There I was busy full time until the end of the contract.L.T.A. gave me all their maintenance work on rented properties in the Langebaan, Saldanha en Vredenburg area and I was doing that until their leases expired.Thereafter Power Developments contacted me for the demolishing of the temporary living quarters of Saldanha Steel. I was busy with that project until July 1998.During this period I had a work force of between 50 en 78 people. During the day I was on site and in the evenings I did the financial management. The experience I got within this time as well my financial experience made decide to approach the work market again.
