    As the TMM Engineer my duties consisted of the controlling of day to day maintenance, roll out of projects(Anglo Fatal Risk Standards) and Asset Optimization. I have equipped two temporary workshops underground for interim maintenance while the permanent underground workshops are developed and equipped. My team has also received an award for working without an injury for 365 days, both surface and underground.

    I have two years’ experience as a Junior Engineer at Black Mountain and two and a half years as an Engineer. In these four years I have worked as the concentrator Plant Engineer, the Shaft Engineer and for 23 months I was appointed as the Trackless Mining Machines Engineer.Also I have 2 months exposure to coal mining operations, open cast as well as underground, and 1 month exposure to deep level gold mining. Other exposures which I have had includes the smelters of Namakwa Sands and various forms of mineral processing – floatation, electrostatic separation, magnetic separation, electrolytic separation.
