I manage, implement and lead on the national programme for IT projects at a local level including Choose and Book, Emergency care record, electronic prescription service, local IT projects including desigining and introducing electronic referral proformas for low priority procedures and now support the local CCG with all aspects of referral management. I support all new implementations on a 1:1 basis with 28 GP practices, 25 general dental practices and 36 pharmacies and in most cases deliver the initial training following a round of presentations to introduce the new way of working. Over the last 12 months I have been working with CSC to implement my long time vision of having all practices on the same system, all my practices have signed up to move to sys1 and we are doing this at a very fast pace the first go live was Oct 2012 that last one is scheduled for Dec 2013.
