Planned and organised regular sessions of four UNECE working groups in the area of inland water transport. Drafted numerous policy, technical and legal documents, agenda and reports for consideration and decision-making by delegations in English, French and Russian: - Working Party on Inland Water Transport (SC.3) - Working Party on the Standardization of Technical and Safety Requirements in Inland Navigation (SC.3/WP.3) - Group of Experts on the revision of the European Code for Inland Waterways (CEVNI) - Group of Volunteers on the revision of Recommendations on Harmonized Europe-Wide Technical Requirements for Inland Navigation Vessels (GVR61).- Drafted amendments to the following fundamental guidelines that have been approved by government experts: - Resolution No. 48 "Recommendation on Electronic Chart Display and Information System for Inland Navigation" (Inland ECDIS) that was subsequently taken up by the EU as a reference standard. The terminology in English, French and Russian was brought in line with the IMO Resolution on Maritime ECDIS; - Resolution No. 63 "Vessel Tracking and Tracing" (VTT)". The terminology in English, French and Russian was brought in line with the Radio Regulations and other basic standards of ITU.- Provided guidance to governments and the general public on regulatory requirements for inland water transport (liability regimes, contract of carriage, vessel construction and equipment, signalisation, rules of the road, River Information Systems (RIS), etc.).- Updated and reconciled technical parameters and characteristics of inland waterways of international importance with 40+ governments.-Produced the fourth revised edition of the map of European inland waterways. - Researched and produced economic analyses of transport policies, compiled biennial economic studies.
