Organized annual gift making activity for children, ages 5 through 12, using volunteers from the church and items that otherwise would be thrown away. "Nifty Gifty" stands for "Nifty" or unique and unusual "Gifty" meaning gifts for family and friends. Attendance ran around 50 children and 20 adult helpers each year.

Representing the Education, Parent Involvement, Curriculum, or Administration components of Head Start entities, went in to a different city or area every week, spending the week evaluating the books, documentation, activities, and provision of services to Head Start families, along with 7 other consultants, each looking at a different one of the program areas (which also included Health, Nutrition, Medical, Dental, and Social Services). Each Friday we presented a written report of our findings to the local administration.

Began with 5 teachers and 16 children and ended with a list of over 100 volunteer teachers and a waiting list of 300 children, grades kindergarten through 6. Utilized an Urban Life Grant to support the activity.
