I served as Miss Iowa's Outstanding Teen for one year between 2021 and 2022. I traveled around the state of Iowa to spread my social impact initiative- lightening the load for families in poverty. I raised money, worked events, and collected donations for families in poverty around my state and the country. Through this role I was also able to work with state senators for Iowa Arts Advocacy, work with the Pella Community School District, and finished the final year of my service program Operation Share The Load. OSTL is a program I started when I was 8 years old to collect laundry supplies and roles of quarters for families in need to be able to wash their clothes at a laundromat- something as simple as clean clothes is something many of us take for granted. I also raised money for the Red Nose Day Organization and have done fundraisers for them for the last 4 years.
