I have been commissioned to provide research and expertise to the development of a number of reports and business cases, particularly where claims of economic, social or environmental impact need to be reviewed. This has included providing support to Expert Witnesses for public Planning Inquiries. Developing the evidence for these reports requires the critical evaluation and synthesis of data. To underpin the reports, I developed a bespoke carbon emission impact model that adheres to best practice in appraisal and can withstand expert scrutiny. I reviewed, in detail, passenger forecast models, highlighting deficiencies and identifying inconsistent assumptions.

The Future Cities Catapult is the UK government-backed organisation for urban innovation. We help innovative UK-based firms turn ideas for improving cities into working prototypes. My work at Jacobs has primarily consisted of the application of economic tools in order to inform decision making. This role has involved the development of decision making tools to address issues and the assessment of the efficiency policies and projects.
